Irish underage international James McCarthy was yesterday named as Scotland’s Young player of the year. The Hamilton midfielder follows in the footsteps of Irish international Aiden McGeady who won the award last year.
McCarthy has a lot in common with McGeady having also been born in Glasgow and although there have been a few doubts, McCarthy is still expected to opt for the Irish international side over Scotland.
