Aiden McGeady is again Ireland’s main injury concern before they head out to Italy later today. Ireland are travelling to Bari to face World Cup qualifying group leaders Italy and the Celtic winger is still troubled by the foot injury which left him doubtful for Saturday’s game against Bulgaria in Dublin.

McGeady sat out Sundy’s training session in Malahide while Richard Dunne also sat out some of the session after picking up what appeared to be a knock on the ankle.

McGeady was substituted in the final minute of Saturday’s disappointing draw. Should he be forced out of the game, manager Giovanni Trapattoni’s options would be severely limited – having already lost the services of fellow winger Damien Duff.
