Shay Given and Aiden McGeady are Ireland’s only injury concerns as the squad assembles in Dublin today.

Both were yesterday receiving treatment at their respective clubs but the Irish managerial team are still hopefully both will be ready for Saturday’s game against Bulgaria at Croke Park. Both players were in action for their clubs on Sunday and have developed problems.

McGeady picked up a knock playing for Celtic on Sunday while goalkeeper Given has a shoulder problem.

Meanwhile, Bulgaria will be without Dimitar Berbatov after the Manchester United striker picked up a knock at the weekend – one which definitely rules him out of action.
