Norwich City midfielder Wesley Hoolahan is set to miss the rest of the season with ankle ligament damage. Capped once at senior level by Giovanni Trapattoni, the former Shelbourne midfielder has continued to improve following an initial turbulent spell at Livingston.

Since then he has played for Blackpool and now Norwich in the Championship. He would have been an integral part of Norwich’s battle to avoid relegation to the third tier of English football.
