Two Irish players were on the scoresheet as Glasgow Celtic battled their way towards their first silverware of the season. Celtic clinched the Scottish League Cup with a 2-0 win after extra-time over Glasgow Rangers at Hampden Park.
Having finished 0-0 after ninety minutes, Darren O’Dea struck for a rare goal, heading in after less than two minutes of extra-time had elapsed. Glasgow born Aiden McGeady rounded off the win as he slotted home from the penalty spot in added time at the end of extra-time.
